Mena Alexandra Suvari (born on the 13th of February, 1979) is an American model, actress and fashion designer. model. Shortly after beginning her career as a model she soon moved into acting, after appearing in guest roles on 1990's programs on television like Boy Meets World and High Incident. She debuted in film with the drama Nowhere which was released in 1997. Her performances in American Beauty - for which the actress was nominated be awarded the BAFTA Award - and American Pie that earned her greater attention and recognition, she was able to move into larger roles. The year 2000 saw her starred alongside her American Pie co star Jason Biggs. She then played the leading part in Sugar & Spice (2000). Spun and Trauma, a thriller film from 2004, were two of her appearances. Other appearances on HBO include the comedy Six Feet Under. In 2008 she was cast in a series of movies which included Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh as well as the film adaptation of The Garden of Eden. She's been an activist and supporter of the African Medical and Research Foundation.
